Yamaha introduces Neo and E01 Electric Scooters in India

Japanese automobile manufacturer Yamaha Motors has recently introduced its Neo and E01 electric scooters in the Indian market. With the launch of these two new electric scooters, Yamaha aims to compete against Bajaj and TVS in this segment. Yamaha Motors claims Neo to be a city commuter. It has a range of 68 kilometers and is suitable for everyday commuting. The scooter comes with interchangeable batteries. It has a 19.2 Ah lithium-ion battery.

The scooter churns out power similar to what a 50 cc engine scooter delivers and it takes about 8 hours to get fully charged. On the other hand, Yamaha E01 is a maxi-style scooter. A similar design is also seen on Suzuki Burgman. This scooter comes with an 11kWh battery and the company claims its range is about 80 kilometers. Its powertrain is similar to a 125 cc scooter. However, you have to wait for some time to get your hands on these electric scooters as Yamaha as of now has only shown off these. They will launch them after some time. Currently, the automobile company is offering two scooters, RayZR and Fascino in the Indian Market.
