News Synopsis

According to a survey of 9,000 women by unicorn startup NoBroker, nearly 70% of women prefer to invest in real estate, primarily residential real estate. Around 94% of respondents were interested to invest in housing, while 6% were in commercial properties.

The survey said that about 69% of women preferred to invest in property, rather than gold, SIPs, stocks and luxury fashion. NoBroker conducted this survey in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune

Last November, NoBroker raised $210 million from investors with a $1 billion valuation. It caters to meet all real estates related needs such as renting, buying, housekeeping services, financial services, company management and more.

"One in two women feels much more likely to build wealth and buy real estate for investment purposes over the past year," Godrej Housing Finance said in a statement Monday.

Shruti Aggarwal, the co-founder of the Neobanking platform Stashfin, said the company is committed to promoting the financial independence of female customers and launched an offer for credit card customers on International Women's Day.
