News Synopsis

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has unveiled its first foldable smartphone in China. The smartphone is called Vivo X Fold. The smartphone has been packed with all the latest state-of-the-art features. The smartphone comes with a foldable design with a solid outer display and a foldable inner screen. The design of this smartphone shares some similarities with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Oppo Find X. Currently the Vivo X Fold runs on Android 12 and is expected to get better once Google’s Android 12L update is released.

It features a waterdrop hinge that is also used by Oppo. It features an 8.03-inch inner display and comes with Samsung’s E5 AMOLED LTPO display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, and is protected by SCHOTT’s flexible ultra-thin glass. On the outside, it has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ E5 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and SCHOTT’s Xensation Alpha glass protection. 

It is powered by the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. In the camera department, it comes with a 50MP primary camera with OIS and Zeiss T coating. This comes with a  4,600mAh battery with 66W fast charge support and 50W wireless charge support
