News Synopsis

British airline Virgin Atlantic said on Friday that it would operate a second daily route between Delhi and London from June 1. The flight will be operated from Heathrow Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The airline has also announced a change to the departure time of its Mumbai flight, effective from March 27.

The company said in a statement that the airline will offer three daily flights from India, coupled with its service from Mumbai. Scheduled commercial international flight services were suspended in the last week of March 2020 in the wake of the pandemic.

It would also offer morning as well as night departure Delhi-to-London flights. Its flight from Mumbai will also have an afternoon departure from Mumbai. It is also offering a flexible booking policy, allowing customers to amend their flights with no change fee until December 31, 2023.

Virgin Atlantic will offer seamless connections between Delhi and the USA through Heathrow together with Delta Air Lines, the company said.
