Virat Comes Out in Support of Shami

Now Virat Kohli, the Captain of Team India has put out a powerful statement in support of Mohammad Shami. He wrote that it is the lowest of the low to attack someone on the basis of their religion and that he and his team completely support Shami. He further wrote how Shami has helped India win numerous matches and is the top bowler India has. This statement is a good way to shut haters up. For a long time, the secular nature of our democracy has been under attack and the brunt of this attack has been borne mostly by the Indian Muslim community. The hatred that people have in their hearts comes out in many micro and macro forms, from public lynching to discrimination at workplaces, etc. Muslims are being targeted simply because of their religion. India was always a secular dream and now because of the current regime and their stooges, that very secular fabric is in danger.
