US Based 'Meta' Accuses Facebook of Copying its Name

A Chicago-based firm Meta Company has claimed that Facebook has stolen its name in the recent rebranding. The Founder of the company Nate Skulic has said in his statement that the lawyers of Facebook have been trying to convince them to sell their name to them without disclosing the name of the client and intent. He also said that the process included two law firms, one from the US and the other from Europe, both of them were aggressively trying to get them to sell their domain registration.

Facebook rebranded itself after facing issues with users’ security and privacy. The claims about having stolen their brand name are made by another organization which claims that when Facebook was failed to buy them, and they are trying to bury them with the force of Media.
