Easy Mobile Number and Address Update

Additionally, the Profile section allows users to link and manage Aadhaar details for up to five family members under a single account, making it easier to manage Aadhaar records for the entire household.

Verify Identity Without Sharing Aadhaar Number

The app introduces offline Aadhaar verification, enabling users to confirm their identity without sharing their Aadhaar number. Through the Selective Share feature, users can choose which details—such as name, photo, age, address, or mobile number—are shared with a third party.

The app also provides a QR code that can be scanned at authorised terminals for quick and secure identity verification.

Biometric Lock for Enhanced Security

Security has been given top priority in the new Aadhaar App. UIDAI has introduced a biometric lock feature that allows users to lock fingerprint, facial, and iris data to prevent misuse.

Users can also unlock biometric data through the app whenever required. The app additionally provides access to Aadhaar authentication history, allowing users to check when and where their Aadhaar was used. To ensure wider accessibility, the app supports 13 Indian languages.
