Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray resigned from his post on the eve of the floor test to be held in the assembly on Thursday. Uddhav announced his resignation on a Facebook Live, minutes after the Supreme Court's order refusing to stay the order of the Governor's floor test. He has also resigned from the Member of Legislative Council.

Let us tell you that after this move of Uddhav, there will be no floor test and it has paved the way for the formation of the coalition government of BJP and rebel Shiv Sena MLAs in the state.

Apart from the post of CM, he has also resigned from the Legislative Council. During this, he said, 'I have Shiv Sena. I do not want the blood of Shiv Sainiks to shed. I came to power in an unexpected way and that's how I am going out. I am not leaving forever, I will be here, and I will once again sit in Shiv Sena Bhawan. I will gather all my people. I am resigning from the post of CM and MLC from CM and MLC posts."
