Twitter-Musk Deal: Vijaya Gadde, Who Was Expelled From Twitter, Had To Apologize

The CEO of the microblogging platform, Parag Agarwal, the CFO, Ned Segal, and the Policy Head and Chief Legal Officer, Vijaya Gadde, have all been told the leave since Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, gained control of Twitter. The decision made by Musk is still being discussed on social media. One of the users that Musk has chosen to block from Twitter is Vijaya Gadde. Vijaya Gadde has a history of controversy. In the past, he had to publicly apologize for anything concerning India that was delicate.

Gadde, born in Hyderabad, was one of the teams of prominent Twitter leaders who together decided to ban the Twitter account of former US President Donald Trump. Gadde has also publicly apologized after getting upset in a sensitive matter related to India. This case is from the year 2018.

In fact, Jack Darcy, the CEO of Twitter at that time, was seen carrying a placard at an event during his visit to India, on which was written 'Smash Brahmanical Patriarchy' (End Brahmanism). After this the matter caught hold and Vijaya Gadde was held responsible for this episode.

According to media sources, Gadde reportedly lost control during a Twitter board meeting in April of this year because he was worried Elon Musk may alter how Twitter functions following the acquisition. When discussing the Twitter takeover of Elon Musk with Twitter staff, Gadde reportedly broke down, according to a Politico piece that was tweeted by Sagar NJT, senior editor and conservative columnist for news organisation The Hill.

Vijaya Gadde was born in Hyderabad and moved to the US when she was three years old. She graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor of science in industrial and labour relations. To study law, she enrolled at New York University. She also had a senior director position at Juniper Networks' legal division. She joined Twitter in 2011 like Agrawal.
