News Synopsis

Donald Trump's new social media app, the Truth Social logo, has a broken "T" on a blue background. It's very similar to the Trailar logo, a British shipping company.

In fact, the logo is so similar to Trailar that executives of the company are considering legal action against Truth Social. Truth Social launched on Apple's App Store late Sunday, but the launch was plagued by technical issues.

Trailar equips trucks and other heavy vehicles with solar panels to provide data analysis to the trucking industry. Twitter users compared the Trailar and Truth Social logos side by side.

Trailar's marketing director, Matthew Summers, confirmed that the company is considering legal action against Truth Social over the similarities between the two logos. "We are currently seeking legal advice to understand the next steps and options available to protect our brand," Summers said earlier.

It's not entirely clear why Trailar mentioned the German supermarket chain. But last year, Aldi was involved in a copyright dispute with British supermarket Marks and Spencer over a clear similarity between the two caterpillar cakes.
