Toyota Unveiled India’s First Hydrogen Fuel Cell EV

News Synopsis

Japanese automobile manufacturing company- Toyota Motors has unveiled India’s first hydrogen fuel cell EV- Toyota Mirai. The newly launched car is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. This can provide the car a range of 600 km on a single tank of hydrogen. Another striking feature of the car is that it just takes five minutes to refuel the car and rather than emitting toxic smoke as conventional cars do, it just emits water. Toyota Mirai will be produced at the company’s plant in the state of Karnataka. The car will generate 182 hp of power and 300 Nm of torque. The car will come along with features like ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, climate control, etc. To keep the occupants of the car safe and sound, Toyota Mirai features seven airbags, adaptive cruise control, Blind spot monitoring, advanced driver assistance systems, etc. Toyota is expected to launch the car in five colors- Hydro Blue, Oxygen White, Heavy Metal, Black, and Supersonic Red.
