Toyota-Suzuki to launch hybrid SUV in India

Automobile giants Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Kirloskar Motor have officially announced their plans together. Both the companies have told that they are working together on an SUV model. This vehicle will start manufacturing at TKM Plants in August. 

While speculations of a mid-size SUV launch from both brands have also intensified. The speculations are that the Toyota Hyryder can be officially showcased on July 1. Maruti Suzuki's new SUV will also make its global debut next month. 

In a press release, Toyota-Suzuki confirmed that the production of the new SUV will begin in August 2022 at Toyota's production facility in Bidadi, Karnataka. This SUV will be launched in the mid-size segment, which is currently dominated by Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, and other vehicles. 

An official statement also confirmed that the new SUV model has been developed by Suzuki. Maruti Suzuki India Limited and TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited) will sell this SUV in India as new models of Suzuki and Toyota respectively.
