News Synopsis

Tesla is recalling around half a million of its cars to address the safety issue. The models that are being recalled are Model 3 and Model S electric cars that will address the issues regarding the review camera and trunk issues that increase the risk of crashing. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also addressed another camera issue of the car while investigating the driver’s assistant system.

The NHTSA has said that the rearview cable harness can be damaged by the opening and closing of the trunk lid, which would prevent the rearview camera to display the image. In Model S vehicles, latch problems may lead the front trunk to open without warning and can block the driver’s vision, which can lead to a car crash.

Tesla has also added a new feature called ‘Passenger Play’ in its cars recently, allowing the users to play a game while driving. But, due to the complaints, it announced to remove the upgrade, and the game is not accessible only when the car is in the parking.
