News Synopsis

Tesla CEO Elon Musk delivered the company's first vehicle made in Texas on Thursday. The deliveries took place at an event called the "Cyber Rodeo" to commemorate the open house of Tesla's new car assembly plant in the Austin area of Texas.

The event was the homecoming for the company, which moved its headquarters from Palo Alto, California to the Austin region last year. He gave no details about robotaxi saying, “It's going to look pretty futuristic.”

The title of the conference in Texas is borrowed from the name of Tesla's long-awaited electric pickup Cybertruck which will be built on the site next year, Musk says.

According to Travis County Fire Marshal, Cyber Rodeo was designed for up to 15,000 people. In July 2020, Tesla announced plans to build more than 2,000 acres on the outskirts of Austin.

According to the company, it has more than 10 million square feet of factory space. Mr Musk said it is the largest factory in the world, equivalent to the size of three pentagons.
