Telegram CEO Confirms Telegram Premium

Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of the instant messaging platform Telegram, has confirmed that its subscription-based product, Telegram Premium, will be released later this month.

"After giving some thought to it, I realized that the only way to keep existing features free while still offering more to the most demanding fans is to make this limit increases a paid option." Said Durov in a blog post.

"That's why we're launching Telegram Premium this month, which is a subscription plan that anyone can buy additional features, speeds, and resources," he added.

Durov said users will be able to support Telegram and join the club. This will receive the new features first. Telegram Premium does not affect the experience of existing users of the platform. It remains free, and free users also benefit from those who pay the premium. Files, media, and stickers sent by premium users will be displayed in oversized file sizes for free users.
