Telangana Minister invites Elon Musk to Set up a Shop in the State

Industry and Commerce Minister of Telangana, KT Rama Rao has invited the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk to set up a shop in the state. KT Rama Rao said in his tweet that he would be happy to partner with Tesla in working through the challenges that the company is facing in India.

The tweet of the industry and commerce minister of India came after Elon Musk tweeted that his company is facing a lot of challenges in India. The minister also added that Telangana is a champion in sustainability initiatives and a top-notch business destination in India.

Elon Musk has been pushing Tesla in India ever since 2019. He has even claimed to set up a factory in India if the business in India goes well. But the company has been continuously engaged with the central government of India in an attempt to cut the import duties as import duties in India are among the highest in the world.

The government of India on the other hand has said that they cannot cut the import duties just for a single company and this is the reason why the government has not taken any action yet.
