Tata Power is planning to provide training to 3000 youth this fiscal year in the renewable energy. The company has announced to skill five thousand youngsters by 2025 in order to work in this sector, Tata Power said in an announcement. "Tata Power's Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) has been able to train 1.4 lakh people through its programs, both traditional and alternative energy sources. They are expanding the education initiatives to provide youth with the necessary skills to compete in jobs in green energy. The institute is planning to educate 3,000 youngsters in financial year 2023, and 5000 by 2025." it stated.

The classes will be provided in solar photovoltaics for battery charging for electric vehicles, as well as maintenance and installation on rooftop photovoltaic panels, installing smart meters and home automation in order to encourage intelligent and efficient energy-related knowledge across the six training centers located at Shahad, Trombay, Vidyavihar, Maithon, Mundra, and Jojobera.

"India is making huge progress towards achieving its green energy goals , and is aiming to build 500 GW of renewable energy portfolio in 2030. The Indian power sector is set to undergo a change in its green direction which is why Tata Power is all set to lead this transformation through the TPSDI through the creation of an ecosystem that will provide targeted education for young people in smart and green energy technology," a Tata Power spokesperson stated in the statement.
