Transforming EV Infrastructure: Tata Power and Indian Oil Agreement

Tata Power EV Charging Solutions (TPEVCSL), an entity under Tata Power, has formally entered into a significant agreement with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to facilitate the installation of more than 500 rapid and ultra-rapid EV charging points within India.

Strategic Deployment of EV Charging Stations

Under this memorandum of understanding (MoU), Tata Power will set up these EV charging points across various IOC retail outlets, targeting key metropolitan areas such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kochi. Furthermore, the initiative will extend to major highways including the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Salem-Kochi Highway, Guntur-Chennai Highway, and the Golden Quadrilateral.

Addressing Range Anxiety for EV Owners

The collaboration between Tata Power and Indian Oil is centered on establishing a dependable and expansive intercity charging network. This network aims to alleviate concerns related to range anxiety, particularly for EV owners embarking on intercity journeys, offering reassurance through reliable charging infrastructure.

Seamless Charging Experience and Accessibility
