Tata Group drafting plans to set up battery companies in India and Abroad

India's tech-to-autos Tata Group is drafting plans to set up battery companies in India and abroad, N Chandrasekaran said as Tata is driving the production of electric vehicles.
The organization is creating a transition in the direction of sustainability throughout groups which incorporates an easy mobility push at Tata Motors and its British luxurious unit Jaguar Land Rover, Chandrasekaran stated at an enterprise event.
To meet stringent climate goals, automakers around the world are pursuing a zero-emission strategy by also investing in the supply chain of batteries and their raw materials.
India's largest electric car maker, Tata Motors plans to launch 10 electric models by 2025. Luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover, on the other hand, is planning to go fully electric by 2025, with automakers planning to launch electric models of its entire lineup by 2030.
N Chandrasekaran said the battery "blueprint" is part of a broader plan to be "future-ready" by making investments in renewable energy, hydrogen, storage solutions, and the circular economy.
