News Synopsis

Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has announced that it will accept online crypto payments in the United States. Customers can buy watches using 12 different cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and 5 different stablecoins.

This move makes TAG the latest name among luxury brands for building cryptocurrency adoption paths. Gucci, Hubolt, Franck Muller, and Norqain are some of the other brands that also accept cryptocurrencies as payment options.

The company is affiliated with Bitpay, a crypto payment gateway in the United States. "We are pleased that global brands like TAG Heuer are investing in cryptocurrencies and seeking Bitpay's support to adapt their digital platforms to the rapid transformation of e-commerce," said Bitpay co-founder and CEO Stephen Pair.

This is not the only cryptocurrency move by TAG's parent company, LVMH. LVMH also owns other luxury brands such as Christian Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, and Loewe.

Bernard Arnault-owned company announced last year that it is working with Richemont, to develop an Aura blockchain designed to allow customers to track and certify their products.
