News Synopsis

The energy minister of Sri Lanka- Udaya Gammanpila, on Monday, said that the country is seeking $35 million to pay for the 40,000 tonnes of diesel that arrived on its coast this Sunday. The country’s diesel stock will only last a few days. Currently, the country is dealing with record-breaking inflation. The country is facing depleting foreign exchange.
