In the recognition of its employees' contribution to the company in the last three years of the Covid-19 crisis, SpiceJet extended its Employee Stock Ownership Plan scheme for its senior-level employees and critical resource staff.

In particular, the airline's move comes at a point when the airline is expanding Jet Airways is all ready to make a comeback, and the new airline Akasa Air is also planning its entry later this year, expanding the potential for job creation in the industry.

CMD Ajay Singh has repeatedly spoken about the contributions, resilience, dedication, and diligence of SpiceJet's employees who have helped SpiceJet overcome the greatest challenges in the aviation industry and human history in recent years. He recently wrote to employees on May 23 to commemorate the airline's 17th anniversary. SpiceJet has confirmed that there were zero retrenchments in COVID-19.
