SpaceX to Monitor Amazon Rainforest

Elon Musk has met the Communication Minister of Brazil in efforts to stop illegal deforestation and to make rural schools accessible with the internet. The Brazilian Government is planning to use SpaceX and Starlink for the monitoring of the Amazon Forest and it will also provide internet access to the remote areas. Brazil has stepped up management of Amazon and is also planning to end the illegal deforestation by 2028. Scientists, Diplomats, and activists have claimed that it can not change much as deforestation has risen to another level during the presidency of Jair Bolsonaro.
