News Synopsis

The American aerospace manufacturer, SpaceX has launched 48 more Starlink Internet satellites into orbit. The satellites were launched through Falcon 9 from Florida, USA on March 9. The first stage of the rocket returned to the drone ship of SpaceX located in the Atlantic Ocean.

This was the 10th launch of SpaceX in the last 10 weeks, and each launch included 48 satellites. SpaceX claims that with these satellites it wants to bring low-latency high-speed broadband internet to areas with no internet connectivity.

The company has launched 2,000 satellites till now and plans to launch more satellites by the end of the year. It has recently got the permit to launch 12,000 satellites.

Most of the Starlink launches have been done by the 'Falcon 9' rocket, which is the world's first orbital-class rocket and the company plans to use it again as reusing the Falcon-9 rocket reduces the cost of launching satellites.

This SpaceX project has also faced some setbacks recently. Last month, a storm in space destroyed an entire batch of SpaceX satellites, which led to the destruction of a whole batch of satellites. SpaceX has decided to deploy satellites at higher altitudes to avoid such incidents in future.
