News Synopsis

SpaceX has delayed its rocket mission 33 seconds before its takeoff after a cruise liner came too close to the launching site. The production manager of SpaceX, Jessie Anderson has said that the cruise liner made its way to the no-go zone and the coast guard was unable to clear it out on time.

The production manager also said during the webcast that the company was on track for a smooth launch but the ship came in the site’s hazard area. Hazard Areas are set up around the site for safety purposes. The company will once again try to launch the Falcon 9 on Monday.

The launch of the Falcon 9 has been pushed back four consecutive times due to the bad weather conditions at the launch site. SpaceX has already launched three rockets this year. The company is on track to launch 52 rockets in 2022, under which the company is planning to launch 4 rockets every month on average.
