News Synopsis

Sohan Lal Commodity Management Pvt Ltd (SLCML) unveiled its corporate development plan on Wednesday, stating that in the current fiscal year, it will open 36 new offices across 16 states. The organisation currently has four locations in Delhi, Bihar, and West Bengal. "With 36 additional offices across 16 states, the business seeks to strengthen its presence across India," SLCML said in a statement.

These "Krishi Vikas Kendras" would act as a link between SLCM's digital application and its existing physical network of 9,244 warehouses across India, according to the company. Farmers, dealers, and government agencies will see the offices as a one-stop-shop for a wide range of services, including warehousing, procurement, and agricultural financing, according to the statement.

SLCM has secured a patent for its real-time data management processes, making it the only firm in India with a technological patent in the Agri logistics (warehousing) area, according to the company. SLCM Group CEO Sandeep Sabharwal said the company is looking forward to scaling its 'digital initiative' sector, citing the patent as proof.

The firm is presently working on a mobile application that will bring all of its services together in one place. Sandeep Sabharwal further said, "We are currently working on various other technologies that have the capability to enable the efficient integration of physical infrastructure with digitized enterprises, thereby strengthening the foundation of 'phygital' agriculture supply chain."
