Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, arrives in India for the meeting of G20 foreign ministers. Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, arrived in India on Tuesday for the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting ( G20 FMM).

Lavrov will also be present at the 2023 Raisina Dialogue.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday and Thursday as tensions between Russia and the West over the Ukraine conflict continue to rise.

Wednesday's bilateral meeting between Lavrov and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is anticipated to be a comprehensive overview of the two countries' relations.

Bagchi said the following on Tuesday: "Pleased to welcome FM @SenatorWong of Australia @dfat and FM @MevlutCavusoglu of Turkiye @MFATurkiye for the #G20FMM in New Delhi. They will also participate in #RaisinaDialogue2023."

Bagchi had previously on Tuesday stated that the first G20India Foreign Ministers' Meeting arrivals had started.

"Arrivals for the 1st #G20India Foreign Ministers' Meeting have begun! Welcoming FM Mauro Vieira of Brazil, FM Alan Ganoo of Mauritius and @ILO G20 Sherpa Richard Marc Samans to New Delhi for the G20 FMM to be held on 1-2 Mar 2023. Ministers will also attend #RaisinaDialogue2023,"  Tweeted the MEA spokeswoman.

There will be attendees from multilateral organisations and representatives from 40 nations, including non-G20 members who have been invited by India.

The Foreign Ministers meeting is one of the most important G20 meetings.
