San Antonio Police Found Fraudulent QR Codes on Parking Meters

San Antonio Police found fraudulent QR codes on the parking meter about a month ago. The police have warned the citizens with a tweet about these scams that involve fraudulent QR codes stickers on parking meters. People who use the QR code to make the payments are directed to scam websites.

The Austin Police Department tweeted on January 3 warning people not to use the QR scanner as they have found similar stickers on the public parking meters. The Parking Division Manager of Austin Transportation Department, Jason Redfern has also said that the workers have found stickers on 29 public meters.
