South Korea's tech giant Samsung's upcoming foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, may feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus chipset.

According to a prominent tipster Ice universe, Samsung’s new foldable smartphones can be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. Many other reports have stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also have a 4,400mAh battery as its predecessor. However, Z Flip 4 is expected to have a bigger battery than Flip 3.

According to previous reports, future Galaxy z Fold 4 may come with hinges that can reduce weight. The new hinge also brings improved water resistance and dustproof certification.

The entire primary camera setup is also set to undergo an upgrade to match the Galaxy Z Fold 4  with the camera quality offered by the flagship products available in the market at present.

The company is targeting 6.9 million units for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and 2.9 million units for Z Fold 4. For comparison, the 2021 model targeted 4 million for the Z Flip 3 and 3 million for the Z Fold 3.
