Samsung Claims Global Chip Shortage to last till Second Half of 2022

Samsung has claimed that the global chip shortage will continue till the second half of 2022. According to an IANS report, the President of Samsung Mobile, TM Roh mentioned this during his meeting with senior executives and other executives from more than 30 of its major components suppliers. 

The report also states that the company is going to push for annual contracts with chip foundries to have a secure chip production capacity. Due to the chip shortage, not only Samsung but many companies have had to cut their production. 

On the other hand, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon has claimed that conditions regarding chip shortage can improve next year. The company was able to meet the demand for processor chips for smartphones and gadgets. But as the demand for Android phones increased, Qualcomm found it hard to meet the demands as well.
