News Synopsis

Refyne, the one-year-old startup has raised $82 million in the funding round led by Tiger Global, the private equity firm along with the participation of the existing investors. The total valuation of the company after the funding is not disclosed yet.

The startup was founded by Chitresh Sharma and Apoorv Kumar in Bengaluru aiming at providing services with a quick earned wage access (EWA) platform to the working professionals. The company also claims to be the first Indian startup that has entered the EWA domain. 

Refyne aims at taking its user base to 3 million by the end of 2022 and believes that Tiger Global can be helpful in achieving its target. The founder of the company, Chitresh Sharma has said that they are working with Tiger Global’s portfolio by default and believes that it will be helpful for the growth of the company.
