News Synopsis

Realme has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Narzo 80 Lite 4G, a toned-down version of the Narzo 80 5G that debuted last month. Priced aggressively, the Narzo 80 Lite 4G offers a balance between affordability and essential features, targeting budget-conscious consumers.

Realme Narzo 80 Lite 4G: Price in India and Availability

The Narzo 80 Lite 4G starts at Rs. 7,299 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. A higher configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for Rs. 8,299. Buyers can also avail a special Rs. 700 discount voucher, bringing the effective price down to Rs. 6,599 and Rs. 7,599 respectively.

The smartphone will be offered in two attractive colours: Obsidian Black and Beach Gold. A limited flash sale is scheduled for July 28 at 12 PM IST, while the first open sale begins on July 31, available via Realme’s official website and retail partners.

Display and Software Experience

The Realme Narzo 80 Lite 4G features a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and reaches a peak brightness of 563 nits, ensuring decent visibility under most lighting conditions. With a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio and 83.5% NTSC colour gamut support, it promises an immersive viewing experience in its segment.

Out of the box, the phone runs on Realme UI 6.0 based on the latest Android 15, offering improved customization and software enhancements.

Performance and Storage

At its core, the Narzo 80 Lite 4G is powered by the Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor, clocked at up to 1.8GHz. The chipset is coupled with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, making it suitable for basic multitasking, streaming, and casual gaming.

It comes in two RAM options: 4GB and 6GB, both with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 16GB. Storage options include 64GB or 128GB, with room for additional storage via a microSD card. Realme has also included AI-powered features like AI Boost and Smart Touch, designed to improve the overall user experience.

Camera Setup

The Narzo 80 Lite 4G features a dual rear camera system, led by a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, accompanied by a secondary lens. For selfies and video calls, the phone houses a 5MP front camera, also with an f/2.2 aperture. While the setup may not deliver flagship-level photography, it is adequate for daily snaps and social media sharing.

Battery Life and Charging Features

One of the standout features is its massive 6,300mAh battery, designed for extended usage. According to Realme, the battery supports up to 20.7 hours of YouTube playback and 19 hours of Instagram usage, making it ideal for heavy users.

Charging is handled via 15W wired charging, along with 5W reverse wired charging, which allows the phone to serve as a power bank for other devices.

Build Quality and Durability

The Narzo 80 Lite 4G not only focuses on performance and affordability but also emphasizes durability. It boasts an IP54 rating, providing resistance to dust and splashes. In addition, the phone is equipped with ArmorShell protection for military-grade shock resistance, making it more resilient to drops and rough use.

Despite its large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile, measuring 167.2 x 76.6 x 7.94mm and weighing just 201 grams.

Connectivity and Other Features

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The absence of 5G is understandable given the price bracket and target audience. However, Realme has ensured that basic connectivity and usability are not compromised.
