Realme has launched its new Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G smartphones in India. The series brings premium features such as a 200MP main camera, powerful processors, AMOLED displays, and a massive 7,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Realme 16 Pro Series Launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker Realme on Tuesday launched the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G alongside the Realme 16 Pro 5G in India. The new handsets will soon be available for purchase via an e-commerce platform and the company’s official website.

Both smartphones will be offered in three colour options, including two India-exclusive shades. The Realme 16 Pro series features a dual rear camera setup with a 200-megapixel primary shooter. The Realme 16 Pro 5G comes with a 6.78-inch display, while the Pro+ model features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen.

Realme 16 Pro Series Price and Availability in India

The price of the Realme 16 Pro 5G in India starts at ₹31,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
The 8GB RAM + 256GB version is priced at ₹33,999, while the top model with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs ₹36,999. The company is also offering an instant bank discount of ₹3,000 on select credit cards.

Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is priced at ₹39,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant, and ₹41,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB model. The top-end variant, featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at ₹44,999. Buyers can also avail an instant discount of ₹4,000 on select credit cards.

Both new smartphones will go on sale in India starting January 9 through Flipkart and the Realme online store.

Display and Software

Both the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G and Realme 16 Pro 5G are dual-SIM phones that run Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0.

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,280×2,800 pixels, up to 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, peak brightness of 6,500 nits, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and support for 1.07 billion colours.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G includes a slightly smaller 6.78-inch display with 1,272×2,772 pixel resolution, 1,400-nit peak brightness, 450ppi pixel density, and the same refresh-rate and colour-gamut support as the Pro+ model.

Performance

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core chipset with one prime core, four performance cores, and three efficiency cores clocked up to 2.8GHz, paired with Adreno 722 GPU.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G comes with the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset paired with the Arm Mali-G615 GPU.

Both smartphones carry IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Camera

The Realme 16 Pro series is equipped with a 200-megapixel (f/1.8) primary rear camera.

• The Realme 16 Pro 5G has an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera.

• The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G features a 50-megapixel (f/2.8) ultra-wide camera.

On the front, both models feature 50-megapixel (f/2.4) selfie cameras. The Pro+ model also supports 4K video recording at up to 60fps.

Battery and Connectivity

Both phones pack a 7,000mAh Titan battery with 80W wired fast charging support.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C.

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G in Master Gold colour measures 8.49mm thick and weighs around 203g, while the Realme 16 Pro 5G is 7.8mm thick and weighs approximately 192g.
