News Synopsis

The Bike and Car breakdown service provider, ReadyAssist has introduced its plans to invest $8 million in augmenting electric vehicles infrastructure in India. The startup plans to set up physical stores under its brand name GRID in 200 prime locations in the top ten cities in India.

GRID, the stores will have in-house quick service kiosks, battery swap facilities, EV charging infrastructure for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. ReadyAssist also has thousands of mechanics upskilled on EV capabilities to provide its services like roadside assistance (RSA) and annual maintenance contract (AMC) customers all around India.

With GRID, the company aims to extend roadside emergency assistance to the EV augment along with strengthening EV charging or battery swapping infrastructure.
