President Kovind Advocates Entry of Startups in Education, Health Sectors

News Synopsis

President Ram Nath Kovind said that pushes by unicorns and start-ups in areas such as education and healthcare could change the country.

President Ram Nath Kovind was addressing a gathering in Maharashtra after opening a permanent campus in Nagpur, India Institute of Management (IIM). The major laboratories were established in 2015.

Kovind also said that both innovation and entrepreneurship can not only make people's lives easier through technology but will also provide employment opportunities for many.

He also praised the IIM Nagpur's Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development for the successful graduation of women entrepreneurs, six of whom have already started their businesses.

He further said, “Such programs provide an effective for women empowerment. I strongly believe that our daughters always shine to the optimum. It is a true tribute to the land of Savitribai Phule and Dr. Anandibai Joshi, the first few stalwarts in the field of education and medicine.”
