The early-stage fund, pi Ventures has announced its plans to invest in 25 startups in the next three years with the closing of its second fund at $40 million. The company launched fund II in March 2021.
Many high net worth individuals and family offices participated in the venture fund. It included Mamaearth’s Varun Alagh, Flipkart’s Binny Bansal, MakeMyTrip’s Deep Kalra and senior leaders from IBM, Facebook and Google.
The company closed its Fund I in 2018 and invested in 15 startups. The find II of the company is also sector agnostic. It has already been deployed to back the biotech startup ImmunitoAI, which is reneged in developing an AI-powered antibody discovery and screening platform.
