Paramount+ announces new shows and movies

Streaming service platform, Paramount+ has announced a series of new shows and films. The announcement comes after its expansion to several countries including the UK. The shows include Sonic the Hedgehog series, 14 new South Park movies, four SpongeBob films, and a prequel series to the 2000 film Sexy Beast. The company is investing big in an attempt to compete with the already existing streaming services in the market, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV+. The subscription price and the launch date are yet to be announced. The company may not keep prices high and raise the existing prices due to the existing services that are already available in the market at an affordable rate. Currently, Netflix is the most popular streaming service in the United Kingdom in around 17 million households, followed by Amazon Prime.
