Online gaming gets new supporters

Online gaming has been gaining immense popularity in the past few years. As technology is constantly evolving online gaming is also getting better. However, earlier online gaming doesn't use to get positive responses but currently, it is being recognized by different organizations and countries as an emerging industry. In India as well online gaming is making its presence in society and the gaming world. For the first time ever the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) sector found mention in the recently announced Union Budget speech. It was termed the AVCG Sector. The gaming market alone was valued at approximately $1.89 billion in 2020. This figure could reach $4.01 billion by 2026, achieving a CAGR of 16.22% in the forecast period of 2021–2026. According to reports around 60,000 to 80,000 jobs are expected to be created in the gaming sector by 2025. Even in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics 2020, online gaming gets mentioned in the pregames events. tech companies have also shown keen interest in developing new online gaming technologies.
