OnePlus is gearing up to strengthen its premium smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OnePlus 15R on December 17. Ahead of the official unveiling, several leaks and reports have revealed details about its expected price, powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, high-refresh-rate display, large battery, and advanced protection features.

OnePlus is preparing to further expand its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the OnePlus 15R on December 17. According to industry reports, the phone’s base design is inspired by the recently launched OnePlus Ace 6T in China, although some India-specific changes have been made. Even before its official debut, key details related to pricing and major features have surfaced online, building strong anticipation among consumers.

Expected Price of OnePlus 15R in India

As per reports, the OnePlus 15R is expected to launch in India in two storage variants. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage could be priced between ₹45,999 and ₹46,999. Meanwhile, the top-end variant featuring 12GB RAM and 512GB storage may be priced at around ₹51,999.
These prices are said to be exclusive of bank offers. At launch, buyers may receive additional discounts of ₹3,000 to ₹4,000 on select payment options. In terms of colour choices, the smartphone is expected to be available in Charcoal Black and Minty Green.

Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Processor

OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15R will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This will make it one of the first smartphones globally to feature Qualcomm’s newest flagship chipset. According to the company, OnePlus has worked closely with Qualcomm for nearly two years to optimise the platform for improved speed, performance, and power efficiency.

165Hz AMOLED Display Experience

The OnePlus 15R is expected to feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. The company has confirmed a 165Hz refresh rate, matching the OnePlus 15. This ultra-high refresh rate is designed to deliver smoother scrolling, better gaming performance, and a consistently responsive screen experience.

Large Battery and Fast Charging Support

In terms of battery performance, the OnePlus 15R could stand out in its segment. The company has confirmed a massive 7,400mAh battery, which is larger than both the OnePlus 14R and the current OnePlus 15. Reports suggest that the device will support 80W fast charging, although official charging time details are yet to be announced.

Camera Setup and Protection Features

For photography, the OnePlus 15R is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup. This may include a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is likely for selfies and vlogging.

Leaks have also mentioned multiple protection ratings, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. If confirmed, this would mean the phone is resistant to dust, water immersion, and even high-pressure water jets.
