Ola Electrics plans to install over 4,000 EV Charging Points in 2022

News Synopsis

Ola Electric is planning to install over 4,000 EV charging points for its electric scooters in different cities across India. The founder and CEO of Ola, Bhavesh Aggrawal shared the news with a tweet saying that the Hypercharger rollout has begun across cities in India. 

The CEO also mentioned that the company will install these charging points at key BPCL and residential complexes. The charging points will be operational in 6-8 weeks and will be free for use till June 2022. Ola expanded itself to electric vehicle manufacturing this year and has begun deliveries of e-scooters. 

The company unveiled its Hypercharger Network in April, this year It has also claimed its Hypercharger Network to be the widest and densest electric two-wheeler charging network in the world, with the installation of more than 100,000 charging points across 400 cities of India.

The company claims it would take around 18 minutes for an Ola scooter to get 50% charged that can take it for about 75 km.
