NTPC's 100 MW Floating Solar Project in Telangana has Become Operational

News Synopsis

On Friday, NTPC announced that its 100 megawatt (MW) floating solar photovoltaic project in Telangana is now fully operational.

"Following successful commissioning, the last part capacity of 20 MW out of 100 MW Ramagundam floating solar PV project at Ramagundam, Telangana is declared commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hours of 01.07.2022," the company said in a BSE filing.
With this, NTPC's standalone installed and commercial capacity has increased to 54,769.20 MW, while the group installed and commercial capacity has increased to 69,134.20 MW. The company provided no financial information about the project.

This will prove to be a significant step to battle Climate Change. Climate change and Global Warming are slowly increasing all around the globe.
