News Synopsis

National Authority of India has planned to launch its maiden Infrastructure Investment Trust on October 29, in order to monetize the Road Assets. The issue will be opened on October 29 and will be closed on November 2. The Employees' Provident Fund Organization is also approaching to make an investment in InvIT's unit with several other top mutual funds who have also approached to buy the units.

The programme is targeting to sell about 32 more operational road assets as Infrastructure trusts are popular among investors in long-term revenue-generating assets like toll roads and power transmission projects. NHAI has plans of raising Rs. 5000 crores with Infrastructure Investment Trust.
