News Synopsis

Tata Motors has officially launched the new Tata Sierra SUV in India, combining luxury, design, modern tech and comfort. With segment-first innovations and premium features, the Sierra enters the market as one of the most advanced SUVs in its class.

Tata Motors has officially launched new Sierra SUV

Tata Motors has officially launched the new Sierra SUV in India at a starting price of ₹11.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings will begin from December 16, 2025, while deliveries will commence on January 15, 2026. With launch, Tata has equipped the Sierra with several segment-first features, making it a standout choice in the SUV market. The model brings a blend of modern design, advanced technology and comfort, positioning it as an excellent option for buyers seeking a premium experience.

Triple-Screen Dashboard

One of Sierra's most notable features is its TheatrePro triple-screen dashboard layout. While most competing SUVs offer dual displays combining infotainment and instrument functions, the Sierra goes a step further by including a third screen for the front passenger.
This setup includes:

  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster

  • 12.3-inch central infotainment + navigation screen

  • 12.3-inch co-driver dashboard display

This triple-screen layout gives the Sierra’s cabin a truly high-tech and luxurious appeal.

Sound System

The Tata Sierra comes with a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos spatial sound. A unique highlight is the SonicShaft soundbar, seamlessly integrated above the climate control on the dashboard. Inspired by premium home-theatre setups, it delivers a wider soundstage and more immersive audio than traditional pillar- or door-mounted speakers.

Largest Panoramic Sunroof in the Segment

The Sierra features the largest panoramic sunroof in its segment (1525 mm x 925 mm) called PanoraMax. Stretching from the front seats to the C-pillar, it fills the cabin with natural light and enhances the sense of space. Inspired by the original Sierra’s Alpine window, this modern glass expansion offers improved headroom, weather sealing and durability compared to the 1991 model’s fold-down rear glass.

AR HUD

The Tata Sierra becomes India’s first domestic ICE vehicle with an AR Heads-Up Display. This advanced system projects key driving information directly onto the windshield and provides augmented directional guidance in real time.
It enhances safety and convenience, making driving more intuitive and confident.
The HUD offers 4 modes — Standard, Immersive, Personal and Snow — with 19 smart visuals that adapt automatically to each drive.

75-Feature Connected Car App

The Sierra gets iRA connected car technology with 75 smart features, including five industry-first capabilities. Designed to simplify driving and enhance convenience, iRA offers smart alerts, proactive safety, and predictive functionalities. From security to daily utilities, it connects the vehicle to the user’s lifestyle, creating a more personalized and immersive experience.

R19 Alloy Wheels

The Tata Sierra introduces segment-first 19-inch alloy wheels, surpassing rivals like Seltos, Creta and Grand Vitara. Along with improved stance and stability, the suspension has been tuned to maintain comfort even on rough roads.

Powertrain & Platform

Along with standout features, the Sierra is powered by two engines:

  • 1.5-litre Hyperion Turbo GDi — 160 PS, 255 Nm

  • 1.5-litre Revotron naturally aspirated petrol

The Sierra is also the first SUV built on Tata’s new A.R.G.O.S architecture (All-Terrain Ready, Omni-Energy, Geometry Scalable), designed to offer enhanced performance and adaptability.
