Mykhailo Fedorov asks Tim Cook to pull Apple Services from Russia

News Synopsis

Ukraine`s vice prime minister wrote a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook Friday asking him to tug Apple's offerings out of Russia. Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who's additionally the country's digital minister, posted his letter to Cook on Twitter.

The letter calls on Cook to help "protect Ukraine" and  "stop providing Apple products and services  to the Russian Federation, including blocking access to the App Store."

Tim Cook has earlier tweeted about the situation in Ukraine saying that he is deeply concerned with the situation in Ukraine. He also said that he will be supporting local humanitarian efforts. Other major tech companies have also announced some measures against Russia, including YouTube, Google and Meta

These tech companies have blocked Russian state-owned media from generating revenue from their platforms after Moscow decided to send troops into Ukraine.
