News Synopsis

For the remaining 50% of Twitter staff, Elon Musk has put an immediate end to remote work, cautioning them that "the road ahead is arduous and will require intense work to succeed".

The newly appointed CEO of Twitter stated in his first email to the company's staff that  "over the next few days, the absolute top priority is finding and suspending any verified bots/trolls/spam".  a news agency initially reported.

There was "no way to sugarcoat the message"  regarding Twitter's difficulties in the event of a weaker US economy, according to Musk.

He reportedly also instructed staff to spend a minimum of 40 hours a week in the office. However, Musk stated that he would only approve remote employment in specific circumstances.

In March of this year, Parag Agrawal, who was at the time Twitter's CEO, addressed staff members: "where you will work and that includes WFH full-time forever".

He had instructed the staff that "Decisions about where you work, whether you feel safe traveling for business, and what events you attend, should be yours,"

As a result of the Musk takeover, a number of prestigious companies, like the insurer Allianz and the manufacturer Audi, have stopped their Twitter advertising.

On Wednesday, Musk assured advertisers that he had heard their concerns.

Musk explained how paid verification through the Blue subscription service and support for a creator ecosystem may signal Twitter's growth in an online meeting with advertisers.
