Mike White to oversee Disney’s Metaverse Strategy

Metaverse has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. A rising trend has been witnessed in the popularity of this latest technology. Lately, more and more companies around the world are developing their products based on Metaverse Technology and have been investing in this as well all over the world. The latest company to join the list is the Movie production company- Disney. Recently, Disney has appointed Mike White to oversee the company’s strategy for the Metaverse. Bob Chapek who is the chief executive of Disney while talking about Metaverse said: “ Metaverse is the next great storytelling frontier. It is a perfect place to pursue our strategic pillars of storytelling excellence, innovation, and audience focus. Teams across the company are exploring this new canvas, and I have been blown away by what I've seen." Mike White has been working with Disney for the last ten years. He is going to be vice president for Next Generation Storytelling and Consumer Experiences. He will be leading the team in terms of technology and future strategies to be implemented in Metaverse. Also recently Disney declared that 11.8 million subscribers were added to its streaming platform in the last quarter of 2021.
