News Synopsis

The highly anticipated Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 has concluded, promising some new big titles, including games from Activision Blizzard, which Microsoft intends to acquire for $68.7 billion.

The 90-minute presentation was packed with new game trailers and titles for Microsoft's subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, including titles from recent acquisitions such as Bethesda. Though some of the big titles at that event will not be released until 2023, there are a number of titles that will be available in 2022.

The presentation concluded with two major games from the publisher Bethesda, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2022. Redfall is a first-person shooting game in which the player fights vampires, and Starfield is a space-based role-playing game. The event also highlighted Activision Overwatch 2, which will be available for early and free multiplayer access in October, and Diablo 4, which will be released in 2023.

The games mentioned above will be available through Xbox Game Pass. Users of the Game Pass service can gain unlimited access to upcoming game titles by paying a monthly subscription fee. Microsoft claims that there are 25 million Game Pass subscribers.

The event also revealed a slew of new expansions for popular games like Forza, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Horizon 5, Fallout 76, Sea of Thieves, and many more.
