News Synopsis

The parent company of Facebook, Meta Platforms Inc. is planning to become more remote than ever before. The management team of the company, along with CEO Mark Zuckerberg is scattering to locations far from its Silicon Valley headquarters in an extreme test of the limits of remote work.

Naomi Gleit, the company's product manager and one of the longest-serving employees, has moved to New York. Chief Marketing Officer Alex Schultz is also planning to move to the UK, and Guy Rosen, vice president of integrity for the company, will move to Israel in the near future.

Meta spokesperson, Tracy Clayton has said that the past few years have brought new possibilities in ways we connect and work. He further said that the company believes that how people work is far more important than where they work from and that the CEO, Mark Zuckerberg also plans to spend more his time in California and work remotely for the rest of the year.

The company's introduction to Remote Work follows the name change from Facebook Inc. to Meta in October, showing that the company believes that virtual first interaction is the future of the Web, especially for work purposes. The company says it has invested in a variety of technologies to make remote work more efficient, such as video conferencing and business software tools.
