Maruti Suzuki Will Launch Electric Vehicles After 2025: RC Bhargava

Company Chairman of Maruti Suzuki India has said on Wednesday that the company is not planning to launch the electric vehicles currently, as the demand for such vehicles is less and would not be a profitable decision for the company. The company is planning to launch the vehicles after 2025. The chairman has also said that the company is planning to sell at least 10,000 units a month, whenever they launch the vehicle.

The Chairman in his statement also said that the company has not cancelled or delayed the plans to enter electric mobility in India and the time for that will be decided by the parent Suzuki Corporation. The Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, Kenichi Ayukawa has also talked about increasing the production of CNG vehicles in India as well.
