Major Tech Companies cancel CES 2022 in person Conference

Major tech companies including Amazon, Meta, Twitter, Pinterest, and T-Mobile have announced that they will not be attending CES 2021 in person, seeing the spread of the new covid-19 variant, Omicron. CEO of T-Mobile, Mike Sievert has announced that the company will not attend the event.

The company also announced that the CEO will not be offering a keynote in person. T-mobile will still sponsor the event but most of their team would not travel to Las Vegas to attend it in person.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has stated that the company will host the event in person. A spokesperson of CTA has said that they are focused on hosting the event safely with the right protocols to make sure that everyone feels comfortable.

CES is an annual trade show, which is organized by the Consumer Technology Association every year. CES hosts the presentation of new technology and products of the consumer electronics industry. The CES 2022 will be held at Las Vegas Convention Centre in Winchester, Nevada from January 5 to January 8, 2022.
